F&B Consulting

A specialist practice on the side of our IT work
We run our own Japanese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, and our F&B consulting practice draws directly on that experience. It is not our largest practice — software is — but it is the one that keeps our software grounded in real operations, and it is offered as a separate service to operators who can use the same expertise.
For a focused range of Japanese F&B projects in Malaysia, we provide concept and feasibility work, ingredient sourcing, restaurant interior design supervision, and menu development. We are deliberately selective with the projects we take on, because we are not a full-time consulting firm.
A
Defining format, target guest, ticket size, and unit economics. Mapping local licensing, halal posture, and market realities before any capital is committed.
B
Direct imports from Japan combined with vetted Malaysian suppliers, designed for stability and transparent unit cost. Backups and alternatives mapped from day one.
C
Japanese material sensibility translated into buildable Malaysian construction — hinoki where it counts, local materials where they make more sense.
D
Recipe development, cost engineering, and seasonal rotation. Standardised so any trained kitchen can reproduce them — not just on launch night.

Our F&B work is concentrated on Japanese cuisine in Malaysia, primarily in the Klang Valley, with occasional projects in regional capitals. Outside that footprint, we may not be the right partner — but we are usually happy to point you in the right direction.
