About Us

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
SATU MOTO SDN. BHD. is a Malaysian-registered company headquartered in central Kuala Lumpur. Our work is centred on software — specifically, accounting systems and minimal custom POS for small businesses. The way we build is shaped by an unusual fact: we run our own restaurants, and our software has been used there before it has been used anywhere else.
That operational grounding is why our products feel different. They are designed by people who have closed registers, reconciled accounts, and lost sleep over inventory — not only by people who have read about it.

SATU MOTO is structured around a primary IT practice and a smaller secondary advisory practice:
The two sides are deliberately connected: running real food & beverage operations gives our engineering team a uniquely operational lens, and the discipline of shipping production software keeps the advisory work grounded in numbers.

Our IT practice covers, but is not limited to, the following technical areas:

SATU MOTO is led by a founder with a long technical background. The career started in the manufacturing technology industry, working at a CAD/CAM software vendor and developing programming for industrial machine tools. That foundation in computational design and precise, deterministic systems carried into the next chapter: building business software.
The founder has since been building and operating the accounting platform that now sits at the centre of SATU MOTO's IT practice. The work is done in collaboration with a network of talented engineers in India and other regions, coordinated from the Kuala Lumpur office and augmented by AI-assisted development workflows. The result is a small, capital-efficient practice that ships production software for real operations.
Track record summary:
Malaysia was a deliberate choice. Our founder has prior business experience across Japan, China, and the United States — including operating through a US entity that served American customers — and works comfortably in Japanese and Chinese as well as English, with a network that reaches around the world. A country that is genuinely at ease with multiple languages — English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and beyond — is therefore more than convenient; it is operationally productive. Few places in the world allow a small company to communicate, hire, and serve customers across so many languages without friction.
Malaysia is also one of the few nations where people from many backgrounds and many countries actually live and do business together as a daily matter, not as an exception. That openness is not just cultural — it shows up directly as opportunity. The pipeline of cross-border ideas, customers, and collaborators that flows through Kuala Lumpur is unusually rich for a country of its size.
The climate is the quieter reason, but a real one. A consistently sunny, year-round summer is genuinely good for the body and the mind — the high rate of sunlight is a large part of why it is easy to stay positive here. People often say it is hot; we have found that the absence of seasonal swings reduces the physical and mental load of daily life, and lets us focus more of our energy on the work and on the people we work with. For us, this is not a trade-off — it is the foundation.
We are part of this circle too — growing alongside our peers here, and reaching outward from Kuala Lumpur into the world.

Our office sits in Wisma UOA 2 on Jalan Pinang, in the heart of KL's Golden Triangle — short distance from KLCC, Bukit Bintang, and the embassy district. We deliver Klang Valley work in person, and support clients further afield through regular site visits and remote operations.
